IC&RC is the only organization comprised entirely of addiction and prevention credentialing boards. Today, IC&RC represents 25 countries, 47 U.S. states and territories, six Native American territories, and three branches of the U.S. military.

IC&RC boards are diverse, in size, organization, and perspective. Some are government entities, some are independent nonprofits. Some have large professional staffs, some are run by volunteers. They offer a wide variety of reciprocal and non-reciprocal credentials - some certifications and some licenses. Each has its own policies, procedures, and paperwork.

IC&RC helps these entities find common ground in protecting public safety and advocating for the field of addiction-related behavioral health.
